§ R.0 — Regulatory
FSCA-Regulated

Regulated by the
Financial Sector Conduct Authority.

Every Rand held in Arkhive escrow is governed under TradeSafe's FSCA financial services provider licence. Arkhive is the front-end product; TradeSafe is the regulated rail underneath.

§ R.0.1 — What FSCA Means

Four protections, applied to every booking.

01 / Ring-fence

Funds isolated

Escrow funds are held separately from Arkhive's and TradeSafe's operating capital. Untouchable by either company's creditors in any scenario.

02 / Independent

Neutral escrow agent

TradeSafe acts as the independent third party between payer and payee. Funds release only on contractually defined, mutually agreed milestones.

03 / Audit

External annual audit

The escrow trust account is audited annually by an FSCA-approved external auditor. Audit reports are filed with the Authority and available on request.

04 / Recourse

FAIS Ombudsman

Disputes that can't resolve within Arkhive can be escalated to the Office of the FAIS Ombud — a free, independent regulatory recourse.

§ R.0.2 — Account Structure

From your wire to talent's bank.

LAYER 01

Arkhive Platform

User-facing booking, identity, and milestone tracking. Holds no client funds. Audited as a software vendor.

LAYER 02

TradeSafe — FSCA Licensee

Regulated financial services provider. Operates the escrow logic, holds the licence, owns the regulatory relationship with the FSCA.

LAYER 03

Standard Bank Trust Account

Dedicated, segregated trust account at South Africa's largest bank. Where the actual Rand sit until release fires.

LAYER 04

Liberty Underwriting

Insurance overlay — every transaction underwritten against systemic loss for the duration funds are in escrow.

§ R.0.3 — Verify

Don't take our word for it.

TradeSafe's FSCA licence and audit reports are publicly available. Our compliance team will share full documentation on request — including the Service Level Agreement between Arkhive and TradeSafe.
